Additional packing advice:
The number one way to help save money is to do the packing yourself. When you contact us please ask about our pricing on packing materials.
Your basement, attic, or garage are perfect places to start packing.
Make sure all box seams (especially the bottom seams) are sealed securely with packing tape to ensure safe handling.
Fill in empty spaces within the boxes with packing paper to prevent shifting and potential damage to your items.
Make sure you pack your belongings properly and label each box clearly. Each box should have a description of the contents and the name of the room to which the contents belong.
Pack books and other heavy objects in small boxes so that they are easier to handle.
Disassemble large furniture or other awkwardly shaped items so that they will fit easily through the door and take up less space in the moving truck.
Squat (don't bend over) and use your legs to lift any heavy objects.
